VIdeo on YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qoBQvbt2rk
This video is a lovely one from the Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Tampa. The owls are the main feature. But, it also shows the hide boxes I use for demonstrations and exhibit. So the owls are comfortable with being outside. The boxes are simply two plastic flower pots. They are put together with cable ties, hole cut in them for the owl to enter. With a perch inside of PVC pipe, covered with long leaf astro-turf. For getting them to look more 'natural' I use spray paint made for plastic, in earth tones. To get the 'camo' effect. I simply pluck some leaves from the woods, then use them as stencils. An easy, fun project and easy to keep clean.
